Not User Friendly

The user interface is inconsistent. For some fields, to add supporting details, you would double click on the field. For some other fields, you would press enter. Yet for some other fields, you have to select to enter a list of items. Sometimes, some fields were not updated immediately after you made entries, but had to go to the next or previous page and navigate back to the page you made the entry to see what you entered. There is no place in the TurboTax webpage to ask these questions or to file bug reports.

Form K-1 needs work. QuickZoom doesn't work in some scenarios such as entering Z on line 20 of Form K-1 to enter statement A information. Also, popup dialogue boxes for dates, or numbers or State names should allow mouse scrolling along with the scroll bar.

Still have improvements to make

There remain some confusing sections. Foreign Tax Credit is hard to navigate and understand the options. It is not obvious how to choose individual pages to print out at the final review. It would also be helpful to have a print button on every form page and every screen. Often there are instructions on the screen during the interview that I would like to print out but cannot. Most of the rest of it is seamless, especially the import of the previous year's data. Why does the state return not automatically attach relevant pages of the federal return, like W2?

New turbo tax not as easy as before

New format makes it cumbersome to report dividends not received through a financial institution. Also unable to change the purchase date on a capital gain handled through a download from a financial institution that was in error.

Lack of IP PIN step by step instructions.

Turbotax did not guide in inputting my IP PIN from the IRS. I had to go to the Forms view and input it that way. Other than that the step by step instructions were very clear.
