I was asked whether I wished to enter my 1099Bs individually or as a subtotal. When I first indicated, by subtotal, there were instructions of how to enter, and where to send copies. However on subsequent tries to find this information, I couldn't retrieve it. Also, the various threads, concerning whether it was necessary to send copies of the 1099Bs, was confusing in that some said it was necessary, while others said it wasn't, because the IRS already had that information. The other confusion concerns the estimated tax vouchers and whether they were transmitted along with the return. Are they or aren't they? There didn't seem to any place to opt out. However I did find a form with the option. I think during the review the question should be asked whether you want the Estimated Tax vouchers, especially if they are transmitter with the return. And finally the e-signature for the NYS return one day after acceptance. Where is this form?

Turbo Tax is heading in the wrong direction

The 2024 Desk top Turbo Tax is more difficult to use compared to previous versions. Whatever your team is thinking of is not benefit for users. I gives 1 example, it typically took me 2 mins to enter an adjustment on form 8949 due to K-1 offset, it took me 2 hours last night. Another examples, Intuit kept my 1099s on its website, under the "document section" but does not gave me options to delete it. It gave me options to "download". Why download ? I already downloaded it from the financial website. There is no reason for Intuit to keep them there.

TURBO TAX SERVES THE NEED FOR FILING A RETURN

NEED TO HAVE MORE AUTOMATION ON FORM 8606; however it serves the need for most individual's.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

I been using Turbo Tax for over 12 yrs. maybe longer. I never had such a hard time getting started entering my tax info as this yr. Could not get prior yr. tax info to transfer over to this yr. Had to enter all my basic information back in this yr. as if I was a first-time user of Turbo Tax. Got lost trying to log on to intuit like instructions stated. I had recently (before doing taxes for 2024) updated my laptop to windows 11 don't know if that had anything to do with my problems.
