Turbo Tax software quality has gone down

I've used Turbo Tax for years and I once sang its praises but I don't now. In my opinion the software is not the quality product it once was. This year the biggest frustration was trying to "undo" a faulty 1099 download from an investment company. Two (maybe 3) really nice turbotax software people tried to help and they couldn't figure it either. Finally one of them came up with a workaround. In later updates the problem may have been corrected but I've had enough similar software problems in last few years that I no longer believe turbotax is the gold standard for tax software

Consistency of T-Tax is Key!

Always efficient, clear and easy to use from year to year. I appreciate the consistency and the ability to purchase the desktop version for my own records. Even though I am transmitting returns over the internet, I prefer not to file them online.

Very disappointed! I wasn't told about the form 8453 until after I submitted my return. Why didn't the system give me the option to report stock sales in summary? Also, the new download feature for reporting stock transactions is really bad.

I've been a TurboTax user since 1989 when I loaded my first copy on 5 1/4 floppies. I've had no reason to use any other software.

Carry over losses was difficult to figure out. But I went back a couple days later and figured it out. Everything else was right on. When I pulled info off old computer (turbo tax pdf file) to new computer. I could not pull the information from that document. It was very annoying had to input everything manually!
