Turbo Tax could improve.

I have generally found Turbo Tax a great way to do taxes. This year, however there were a couple of things that were annoying. The main one was when going to review Interest and Dividends and wanting to look at the drop down and I would have to continually scroll down to the section I wanted, instead of the dropdown keeping me right where I was.

Annoying but functional?

It works...but the UI is broken, slow, stuck in 1998, and feels very tedious. The integration with 3rd parties is unreliable, and costs time and frustration. When problems happen, often there will be a "beep" and no other information, making it essentially impossible to find out what needs to be resolved.
I've been using it for years, but am starting to question why.

New Mexico State Missed paid estimated taxes input

It worked very well with one exception:
The estimated taxes PAID for the New Mexico state taxes were not requested when doing the step by step input. I had to find the form and add the paid estimated taxes by date on the form.

Turbo Tax is great, but it would be even better if it included the ability to file a 1041 Return as well at a 1040 Return

Disappointing this year.

I have used Turbo Tax for years and I am surprised that the software did not adjust the filing dates for those people affected by Hurricane Milton and Helene based on IR-2024-266. This extended the filing date to May 1, 2025. Your software, even if it does not recognize what I state I live in should be able put up a notice regarding different scenarios if different filing dates are available.

TT makes Life better

I have been using TurboTax for many years.
We are homeowners and have a rental property. We use TT Premier.
Easy interview format. Good instructional/information bullets.
Know your money. Save your money and do your own taxes. It's not hard. You can do it.
