Poor support, Serious Bug

I started my return in early February. It didn't take long to discover that Turbo tax had changed the way it processed the RMD for those old enough to be required to take money out of their IRA. The change introduced a serious error which imposed a penalty on the perfectly legal option of withdrawing the required amount without precisely matching the amount withdrawn to the amount required for each account. This was not a problem in 2023. TurboTax was very slow to correct the problem and to indicate it was even aware of the problem. The correction appeared in an update at the end of February. There was no alternative to waiting for the correction.

NOT as good as last years version.

Used Turbotax previous two years and this years was three times more difficult to use with the interview process than previous years version. Difficult to import data. Ridiculous duplication of entry because entries did not show real time. Had to revert to manual use of software several times in several sections to be able to make initial entries and to correct faulty duplicates. Our retired tax status should be simpler than previous years but literally took all day and evening wrestling with the program to complete and submit efile.

Cloogy. Need to be able to take previous year data better and also 1099-B trade information.
