Turbo Tax WAS awesome

Has been great for the last 8 years but all of the extra charges and addons not to mention the No Free State E-File $25.00 extra FEE might be cheaper with another product or just pay a tax prepare.

Difficult for a first timer.

This was my first time with Tubotax Premeir. The navigation was a little confusing especially during the review when I had to go back and correct mistakes or missing data. I wanted to go back and do Estimated Tax vouchers after I was in the review and spent a lot of time trying to find it. Your search function does not help with finding things within the program it only allows you to find forms. I use to do my taxes manually 20 years ago and then used a Tax accountant the last 20 years. My taxes are getting simpler so I wanted to start doing them again.I was a difficult first time I expect it will be easier next year now that I know what to expect.

Turbo Tax is good, but the code is not perfect!

I have been using TT for I do not remember how many years and I still miss a mailbox to report program issues to intuit. For example Home energy credits I claimed in 2023 did not appear on the 2024 Deductions & Credits page, when one should expect they would have been uploaded when opening the 2024 return. Also 529 rollover (1099-Q) where a mess, and although a rollover for the same beneficiary, limited to one per year, is not taxable and does not need to be reported, the questionnaire should detect that. I can discuss more about this if you are interested.
