Love/hate Software to Prepare your Taxes

TurboTax software was more difficult for me to operate this year.
It took me several iterations to separate the amount of the RMD that was included in the gross distribution on my 1099-R.
The Program more than once suggested that I utilize the tax expert. My idea of using TurboTax has been to avoid outside expertise.

MAJOR FLAW

Was disappointed in this year's program. When you closed the program and reopened it, it would not resume where you left off. It resumed from the beginning with your personal information. It was a real pain navigating to where you left off. Major flaw in the program.

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years and it is easy and very accurate. Especially once you have used it the prior year as it gives you a comparison to the prior year line by line so you know if you have missed something or so you can see things that have changed
