TurboTax is ok

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years to prepare my own taxes. Every year it's a struggle getting the desktop version! The website keeps taking me to the download version. This year I had to spend 45 minutes with one of your advisors to get the desktop. She (Tara) was great and very helpful. But it should NOT be that hard to purchase the desktop! If I hadn't been using TurboTax for so long and like the convenience of just transferring last years return, I would have used other software. It is also very annoying to constantly be asked if I want to purchase tax advice. If I wanted advice I'd hire an accountant.

Solid, unless you make an error or have a question

Overall, the product is solid. UNLESS you make a mistake or have a question. The "HELP" section is not very helpful. I found more assistance by googling my questions. Some answers ultimately came from TT, but not directly. I would have given more stars--- I do not think you should have to pay an extra $60 for one or two questions.

Bugs and odd user-interface

you asked me to update my password but don't allow me to right-click to "suggest a strong password"
you know my log-in but still ask me to re-enter all of my personal information. (why) can't you pre-populate it?
why does it show the "begin" screen, a second time? I don't know if I'm supposed to press "Begin" AGAIN! or if I should press "Continue From Turbo Tax Online." And what does that mean, anyway, "Continue?" Continue? That implies that I've already started or something. But I just purchased it and installed it, so how can I "continue" if this is the first time that I'm running it? And it implies that I've used TT ONLINE? Have I? Online? I didn't know or realize that, if it's referring to 2023.
So, I chose "Begin" and it repeated one or two screens from before and now I see "Transfer Complete"
I can't find a way to go BACK. I'm on "Let's finish pulling in your investments" but I want to go to the previous page but I do not see a back or previous (or similar) button

Upon trying to file the return, I got an error message that the second line of the address (apartment number) has invalid characters. Apparently, TT doesn't care for the Arabic numerals 1128.
First, it says that I have to enter my apartment number. So, I did.
Then, it says that 1128 are invalid characters and that it must be removed prior to filing.
Really? That makes sense.

unbelievable ... I entered all kinds of information (specifically, pre-paid taxes) and NONE of it was saved. Upon exiting, the app did NOT ask me if I wanted to save my file. Is that because I was in the Forms view? BUG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wasting my time ...

Errors

Have been using turbo tax for a long time and like it. I did not like the changes to the income section. I found them confusing.
I also found two problems: towards the end it gives the marginal tax rate which I believe ignores the "Qualified Dividends and Capital Gains Tax Worksheet". The other problem, I sold a MLP and got a K-1 which had some info about the sale as did my 1099B from the brokage firm. I think filling out the K-1 info plus the 1099b input I got the sale listed three times on Schedule D. I tried to find the error using the spy glass but one did not appear so I had to search through all the documents to find my mistake.
