Computing state data based on the federal return

when completing state forms, several points I was referred to specific items on the federal return and asked to compute the required state input. Unfortunately, I had no idea where to find the referenced data, or how to compute the adjusted state input. An example is at one point I was told there was a $13,300 carryover loss and asked to compute the portion of the carryover which should be reported on the state tax form. Clearly the software knew where the date was stored and how the carryover was computed, it would have been convent if the program showed me the original computations.

It Finally Worked

I needed assistance, call the 800 #, the automated answering was horrid. Fortunately the Turbo representative, Avila, answered and was very helpful, encouraging, and stayed one the line with me while I filed my return. She was professional and promptly spotted the Turbo error.

I spent a lot of time in deleting the unused institution prompts on the investment income page. Only one empty prompt could be deleted from the page at a time by requiring you to leave the page and then returning to delete another one.

Aggravating This Year

It cost me 2 days of aggravation to initially install TTax this year. I've used TTax for more than 30 years and this year is was very frustrating. After installation it takes 'forever' to load.
Where do I find status that includes the date my State Tax will be 'automatically' paid? I don't remember what day I specified and that new aspect of paying later left me wondering if I did it right; I did not see a way to confirm when and how the State tax would be paid.
