I have used Turbo Tax forever. Last year I had to fire an amended return and this year Turbo Tax did not recognized the amended return so I couldn't file electronically because Turbo Tax could not verify my identity.

A few glitches need to be fixed

Overall, the product worked well, but there appear to be several glitches that need to be resolved----
1-- TurboTax failed to provide a prompt to remind a user to enter the six-digit IP PIN---- Because of this missing prompt, I didn’t have a cue to remember to enter the IP PIN and my initial e-filing got bounced ---- RECOMMENDATION: Include in either the filing process, or in the accuracy verification a prompt to enter the IP PIN ----
2—Similar to 2023, there was a problem with the Marcus/Goldman Sachs interest import. Specifically, TurboTax only downloaded two of six interest amounts. If I hadn’t had eagle eyes and caught the error, my return would have underreported the total interest income. RECOMMENDATION: Coordinate with Marcus/Goldman Sachs to correct the interest download process, or drop them from your import list.
3—Similar to 2023, TurboTax also did not offer American Express as an option for importing interest. RECOMMENDATION: Add American Express.
Without the above glitches, you would earn a score of 5.

TurboTax is solid but some questions confusing

Overall good experience. In the HSA section the questions were worded in a confusing manner and my wife appeared to not have coverage for the full year. I had to go into the forms section and fill it out manually and it worked.

Turbotax is Okay this year.

The user interface for importing your 1099s etc. was messier this year. The was no one to one corrilation to last years company and tax form. I had to use the blank boxes for interest or dividends. After doing my imports I had to manually compare to all of the data to ensure it match to each company and then delete the blank boxes to were still around asking for more imports. It was messier and time consuming to ensure that all valid data was imported and no missing data would show up on a turbo tax review at the end ...
