Turbo Tax works well

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and it works pretty well. Only problem I had this year was I neglected to save before I 'exited' from the program, and it did not save or ask me if I wanted to save. It did ask other times, just not that time resulting in several hours of re-entry. Have no idea why that time Turbo Tax did not ask me if I wanted to save my work.

Turbo tax has bugs

I lived in my state all year-Alabama It says i cannot file electronically because if did not live in the state all year. It will not allow me to edit that field and I paid the $25 to file electronically. I now have to print and file manually and lost $25

Rough start but made it work

Off to a rough start with ""Looks like we've run into an error" on Windows desktop version this year.
Repair of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) - 14.40.33810 wasn't hard but took a lot of searching to find this fix. I never called TurboTax on this, but many commented online that the support people they spoke with didn't know about this issue and how to fix it.
The import from Fidelity doesn't do a good job of matching to last year's forms, so I ended up with duplicate (empty) forms that had to be deleted even though I was importing from the same set of accounts.

I had used the wrong file for 2023 when I started my 2024 return. That made me miss a $5556 2023 payment for my 2024 return. It was confusing to figure out how to correct that problem. I ended up just modifying the overpayment for 2023 in my amended return without importing the correct 2023 return data. I couldn't find how to do that without starting over. I do hope it works out. The IRS has the correct information from my 2023 return.
