Desktop is the best

Excellent product to walk through new tax items each year (annuity income, Roth conversions, etc...). Like the ability to scroll back through worksheets/forms to see how the final value was calculated. Unclear why some downloads from E*Trade and Wells did not work and the "Needs Review" on imported gains never went away even though they all were reviewed.

Turbo Tax

not an easy system to use now that its online only. Turbo Tax does not ask you if you made quarterly payments. yoou have to manually do this and if you forget its a pain to try and amend the return. It took me 3 hours and the person i calle at turbo tax didnt know what she was talking about

TurboTax Still could be improved

Struggled with the k-1 form. Last year, I didn't want to face having to deal with it so I hired an accountant to do taxes. This left a 1 year gap in my turbo tax forms. It would be nice to be able to import information from a year other than just last year. This also disables the multi-year analysis displays that are frequently shown in TurboTax.

Major problem for some retired seniors

I am 74 years old and RMD is required of my IRA. The amount I receive from my IRA exceeds the required amount, When I enter the RMD amount, it is treated as extra income in Turbo Tax and increases the amount I owe. The RMD is not an additional amount I receive from my IRA, it is already included in field 1 (gross distribution) on my 1099-R. I had to zero out the RMD field in Turbo Tax so that the correct final result was accurate, This is a major problem,
