Last year's format was much more user friendly. I used this year's program but I think you should consider making it more user friendly.

Not happy with TurboTax

In general, TurboTax worked fine. However, when entering a 1099-DIV from a foreign entity with TIN=00-0000000, TT treated it as an error. 1099-DIV issuer insisted 00-0000000 is correct and nothing they can do about it. I checked its filings on the SEC's EDGAR database and it indeed listed as 00-0000000. Though this may be a unique case, there are plenty of people getting foreign entity 1099-DIV. Why TT blocked it and made E-file impossible? Shouldn't it at least allow user adding a note of explanation and enable E-filing? Part of the reason I purchased TT is for E-file, this incident defeated the whole purpose of me using TT. I have been using TT for over 30 years and this is the first time I encountered such a blocking issue. I am very disappointed!!! Checking my previous tax filing with 1099-DIV from the same foreign entity, I was able to E-file for the past several years.

Not as easy to use as previous years

This year I found the program more difficult to use than in the past. When you go to a section like Wages & Income and then click on update for investment income, you get a list of sources. If you open any of these and return to the list, the list moves around on the screen, making it difficult to see where you were.
Is there any way to pay your taxes directly by going to the IRS or state tax website instead of putting all your bank account info into TurboTax? I thought that this could be done on previous versions.

I HAVE USED TURBOTAX FOR OVER 28 YEARS AND I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND NEVER ANY AFTER FILING ISSUES

Have used product for years and the only thing that would make me change is that buythe cost keeps going up. It presently costs me 160 dollars to complete and e-mail my taxes.
