TurboTax is easy to use for this nonagenarian

Easy to use, and ready access to background forms if you need to review them to understand something better. The only quirk I experienced was the program told me I couldn't e-file my State return because I owed an underpayment penalty (which I did) but then in the wrap-up it offered to e-file my State return. I went ahead and just mailed it in.

Missing IRS ID, TurboTax missed the mistake.

I forgot to enter the IRS ID number. Turbo Tax didn't recognize that the number was missing and let me file the return. The return was rejected by the IRS. TT should have checked to verify this before filing.

They do go over a lot of steps for deductions and income and it is relatively easy to use but even though I used Turbo Tax last year it just could not incorporate my 2023 taxes for comparison and then it just tries to gouge you for more money than required. Not a big fan and this might be the last year I do it.
