Not able to print tax forms using a Mac

1. We had to go back an update program before eFiling..that is a frustrating process with not clear instructions.
2. Could not print our tax forms from the TurboTax program. We are working on a Mac and after several tries including using the File dropdown, Print did not work. We did talk to an agent who also gave us a 'workaround' to save to a pdf. We were able to save to a pdf, but never got the dialog box indicating which forms we would like to save. The 3 choices of Tax Return Only, Recommended Forms and Worksheets, and All Forms and Worksheets never came up. I now do not know which one printed in pdf. I would like to note that this has never been a problem in previous years. Agent explained that this was a known glitch for this year and just hasn't been fixed yet.

TurboTax is OK

This product does the job, but it is slower than competitive programs. It does not always explain what it is doing. The output, i.e. the forms, contains items that do not need to be, nor should be, automatically included. For example, it seems that submitted with the filed tax forms will be the vouchers for estimated taxes for next year. It is unclear how the calculation of the estimated amounts were made and the amount I calculate to submit will be different. The thing that is most annoying is that I bought TurboTax because the sales verbiage from Fidelity said that the filing of BOTH federal and state forms would be free. However, there turned out to be a $25 charge for e-filing the state form.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax is awesome, with quirks

As usual the experience was mostly excellent. Only Good this year, because TT changed how various 1099 forms are entered - 1099-DIV, 1099-MISC, 1099-INT, 1099-B, etc. At one point I was stuck in a "loop" - trying to enter a particular 1099 but I could never get to the form I wanted and the program kept looping back to previous 1099 forms. I finally called the TT help desk. After a few tries we figured it out but I've never had any issues like this in previous years. Sorry, I don't remember which 1099 nor the exact buttons that I pushed because this occurred about a week ago and I did not want to give a bad review to the online person who helped me. Next time I'll record the issue and the exact buttons that I push.

Turbotax is OK, but why are there always problems?

There's always something that doesn't work. I owe $1600 federal tax and Turbotax says I need to pay estimated tax of over $6000 in 2025, that's WRONG. I work from home and pay estimated local tax to RITA. Form 37 doesn't work correctly. It says I owe almost $3000 in local tax. When I entered the tax I was obligated to pay Form 37 didn't apply it to my credit.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Not able to import W2 - box 1 treated as password
on March 16, 2025

Not able to import W2 because box 1 is treated as a password. Had to import with PDF document as a workaround. The table to display all the ESPP and RSU is too narrow and constantly had to scroll back and forth.
