Great product overall.

Great product overall - Only one problem encountered with the product. I was unable to retrieve an incomplete return created by computer 1 and finish it on computer 2.

Turbotax pulled a fast one on me!

I was pretty much happy with turbotax until I got my refund. I was charged $20 to file my state return which I expected but I was also charged $45 to have it paid out of my refund for my federal. I think this was very misleading and I was never given the option to pay it with my credit card. These underhanded tactics for more money are not helping your company when people tell other people about your company.

Disagree with $15.00 state income tax electronic filing fee. Prompted user to apply $40.00 federal refund fee when we were not getting a federal refund. It was a confusing prompt.

Needs Dark Mode

Have used TurboTax for years because it makes filing taxes easy. However, the company needs to get with-it and offer Dark Mode. This bright white screen is killing a lot of people's eyes - especially mine - and is totally outdated when now Microsoft, Google, Wikipedia offer dark mode.

TurboTax 's Answering System is TOO Inflexible

I have used TT since 2000 or so. I have loved it in the past. However, TT handled my W-2 from a non-qualified pension plan differently this Year than any prior Year (it wanted to put $45K of W-2 income on line 8 instead of Line 1 on the 1040). Every year prior that bit of income had been properly placed on Line 1, even though Line 11 of the W-2had been filled out as it was this Year. So, I hunted and pecked for a phone number and got trapped in the hades of NO Help from the Auto Answering System. I could not get help from TT until I paid another $60 to speak to a live human (Lynne). Then she told me to disregard the entry in box 11 of the W-2. When I did that everything went into the right line, as it always had in the past. My W-2 provider had changed NOTHING. Apparently, the Turbo-Tax software has changed. Lynne knew that the new treatment was wrong. I should not have had to pay $60 to "fix" the problem software change. Every Year prior, I have given TT 5 Stars. My treatment this Year (the inability to talk to a human without paying extra) merits a "demerit" for TurboTax. I will still use TT next Year, but with a bit less faith in the system.

File Problem

Everything went well until I wanted to file...Turbo Tax said It was missing a Turbo Tax Update file...We had to uninstall and reinstall the program in order to file. This required getting outside help
