What happened to free state filing???

Registering with Intuit for payment as we are trying to e-file is unnecessary. Why not include this is the price of the software as a Free state submission? it was this handles this way in the past.

mostly excellent; however, the foreign tax and AMT sections were difficult to understand.
To enter a 1099 manually after downloading others was not intuitive.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and have loving using it. This year I have been tottally discussed because I wanted to file the Federal Return Electronically and it would not let me finish unless I agreed to pay for Audit Defense. I did not want to pay for Audit Defense and it would not let me decline and finish filling electronically. That is totally discusting I should have been able to decline Audit Defense.
