I didn't get the idpin right, so my filing was rejected. After I I retrieved it from irs.gov, it was fairly easy to update the filing, but it was clear how to resubmit the filing, so that was a bit frustrating. Two things would have been helpful:
1. clearer instructions and a warning about the new idpin requirements and how to confirm that before submission.
2. clearer instructions after a rejected filing saying that the checkout and filing process has to be redone for a resubmission. (one reason I hesitated is that I'd already gone through the checkout process once and didn't want to pay twice. the clarification should probably note that the account wasn't charged for the rejected filing...)

Lousy Programming Effort
on March 14, 2025

Lousy software configuration management. Intuit has all year to produce a similar product as previous year and hobbles the printing and file saving function. Worse yet, Intuit fails to notify purchasers of the product that the PRINT function is hobbles and there is a complex workaround. Terrible, terrible software programming quality control, very unprofessional

Good but a little confusing.

No major problems. At the end I am not sure if I have to mail something in after I E-filed or not. Also, I don't seem to print only the Required Forms for Filing - as I was able to in previous years.

on March 14, 2025

Overall completing Tax information was ok. Filing was a problem. E Fileing Rejection due to Problem using IRA EPIN and Turbo Tax set up prior to submittal. IRA PIN is 6 Digit, where as on submittal Page PIN blocks don't take more than 5 Digits. Please provide immedfisate resolution as my Federal Tax Submittal has been rejected repeatedly.

Worst version of ever; phone agents are clueless
on March 14, 2025

This is the worst version of Turbotax ever. I have been a loyal user for 15+ years. The changes to some of the data entry so that it takes a full screen to enter two fields are ridiculous. But the worst part of this version is that none of the links to contact Intuit for purchases work. Both "Buy advice" and "Buy state efile" result in errors that say "something went wrong". I tried this over a period of 5 days with the same error. Three phone calls to TT "experts" and none of them knew what to do. One of the agents, after over an hour where she researched something that I didn't ask her to look at, sent me two links to Intuit's internal Slack support system telling me to use those links to purchase state efiling and to request a refund. Obviously I couldn't do that because I don't have an Intuit Slack login! I finally tried to purchase state efiling via the phone (an option under the Help menu) and the two agents that I spoke with had no idea what to do. I gave up on the first after about 20 minutes on the phone while she fumbled about. Called back and got someone else who also didn't know what to do, but after about 30 minutes figured it out and gave me a state efile confirmation code. This, of course, took three tries, with my credit card being charged each time. So I've now paid $79.50 for state efiling with little confidence that the TT agent will know how to properly credit the overcharges.

I did file tax 1ith turbo tax last year by using a different computer. But it can not find the record of my previous year. that makes more work for me this time.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments
