Been using turbo tax for rentals last 10 years seems to be the best bang for the buck. For a common folk person like myself. If you have the time to input your self. TT keeps it easy.

Problem with Turbo Tax

After a Turbo Tax update I did on 3/14/2025 I was unable to save my Turbo Tax file on my Windows laptop. Very annoying! Wasted at least 30 mins searching the internet to finally discover that all I had to do was logout and re-login to Turbo Tax.

Recent problems from an experienced user

I have been using TurboTax for over 20 years and have never had a problem until this year. 1) The program originally did not work correctly. Information was not being saved. I had several conversations with the help desk but no one was able to to resolve the problem. Finally after an update the program worked well. 2) I wanted to do an electronic filing of my state tax return but the payment form was larger than my computer screen and I could not hit the continue button. I could not reduce the page so I had to mail my return. 3) I was trying to find out where certain entries came from on some of the schedules. You used to be able to see where numbers came from but now you can't.
