Turbo Tax issues

Generally good software, but the investment section is not laid out well, plus the software did not import all the investment forms correctly, so you have to watch it/check things manually. One of my investment firms sent me 4 forms (for 4 accounts). 3 were ready early, so I imported them. When I imported the last one a week later, the software deleted the first 3 without telling me.
Also, the scroll function when choosing a state when entering drivers license did not work. It scrolled the back page and not the state list. Finally, when you select to mark some investments as US Gov Obligations for dividends, it gives you an error message before you get a chance to enter something. Then when you enter something, you have to click the screen again (in a blank spot) for it to take, before you continue to the next step. So, kind of buggy.

Downloading Bank and Broker statements automatically is a time saver, much more accurate than me typing in the boxes!

I've been self-preparing with Turbo Tax for over 20 years. It's a very capable program with lots of cross-checks and guidance. Highly recommended !

TurboTax can really help you complete your taxes and you can feel comfortable about all the calculations.
It walks you through every step so you don't miss anything.
In the e-filing makes it so easy to get your taxes to the government.

Disappointed Forms not supported

I've been a Turbotax user for decades. But I am not discouraged with the product and may need to go with another provider next year. I have a Qualified Opportunity Fund and need to file a form 8997. I was very disappointed that TurboTax, unlike some competitors, does not support this form. I had to hard print and hand correct forms to meet IRS form 8949 requirements. I'm very disappoint in this lack of supper in what would be an easy fix. Please add for next year.

Turbotax was easy to use except for the estimated quarter taxes section would not allow me to change to a lessor amount due to my upcoming retirement.
