Still happy with TurboTax after 37 years of use

I've been using TurboTax since 1988. It has gotten better every year. TurboTax has become very easy to use and fully capable. The program was able to answer nearly all of my tax questions.

Too much advertising.

You ask too many times for tax expert advice, live tax advice, audit defense, etc. Whenever I have to go back into change something I have to answer those questions again. There ought to be a way for the software to remember a previous response and skip all those options.

Turbo Tax Premier was disappointing

Turbo Tax Premier was used. Not user friendly. PDF file printed at end did not sync correctly and printed gibberish. Disappointed. We have used Turbo Tax for years.

Continues to be the best way to file income taxes, federal and state. Sometimes the turbo tax instructions are not very clear. And I lost an hour this time because my first work on my 24 return disappeared. Not sure what happened, it was probably at my end, but it illustrates that sometimes turbo tax messaging is not crystal clear.

My tax filing was made easy with the option to walk me through all the tax topics. Plus, it was easy to electronically download my 1099 froms from my brokerage accounts

It was excellent. Friendliest and most patient group of Tax Preparers I ever worked with. they helped identify a substantial error made by a CPA I learned a lot about my taxes and taxes and general. I will be using their services henceforth.

Improvement suggestion for college expenses

The section I enjoy the least is the part regarding 1098-T and college expenses. It is split into multiple sections that force you to dig deeper to enter the room/board etc expenses vs having them on the same or next page from the actual tuition expenses. I
