Turbo Tax in my opion needs to change programers

Turbo Tax is great. The only problem we had was the program would not allow us to import our 1099-Rs.

Turbo Tax Needs To be Fixed

It will not let me e-file. The problem is specifing that the pension/annuity from the commonwealth of Massachusetts is non-taxable on the state income tax form. This is about the third year that this partivcular problem has not been resolved.

Underpayment Penalty

I had alot of trouble with underpayment penalty. I had a refund and paid an estimate for my roth conversion and still had to annualize my income. The annualized income was a very lengthy and time comsuming process.

Turbo Tax is a darned good program!

Mostly an excellent program. I've been using Turbo Tax for 15+ years and trust it completely. I found once again that the program doesn't properly round figures up when appropriate. Specifically, my wife's & my Social Security Benefit Statements show each of us with $XXX.40 and $XXX.40. The TurboTax program adds those 2 amounts but then drops the 80 cents from the total. That means we have to pay $1.00 more federal tax than if the program properly rounded UP.

RMD Aggregation Resolved

I was able to resolve issues with RMDs through the Turbotax community. Seems earlier versions of Turbotax did not allow proper treatment of aggregation of RMDs. It was subsequently corrected in recent updates to allow proper treatment.
