TurboTax is amazing!

We have been using TurboTax for over 15 (more) years. Very easy (step by step) to use. Excellent product.
Recommend everyone use this program to do their taxes. Takes the stress out of tax season.

Complicated 1099 handling is frustrating

In general, TurboTax is a good product that I have used for over 20 years. My biggest complaint this year is that twice the program has required me to break my 1099 brokerage into smaller 1099s to handle a couple of tax situations: (1) distributions of my IRA into Roth and Rollover; (2) a separate 1099 for each country that I receive dividends from to calculate my foreign tax credit. This breaking of 1099 into separate ones is very manual and could be easily handled by software (which is what I am paying for). At a minimum, it could duplicate the 1099s so that I did not have to repeat all of the information.
