TurboTax not suitable for syncing brokerage accts.

Retrieving my brokerage account was terrible, I had to manually input my kids transactions into their tax returns because the product would not sync into the correct account.

The first problem was handled quite well. The support agent was excellent and very helpful. The second problem did not get resolved. I already sent in a summary of that deal. This wasn't the fault of the agent. Those supporting her were unsuccessful as well. I finally gave up .

Have used for years. Data carries over easily from earlier year forms, Carrying forward of IRA basis is particularly useful

Need to show more transperency

Did not like the changes involving downloaded forms. Previously, I could step thru the process and understand where I was. In the new download, I was unable to respond to "IRA RMD and QCD Question.

Simplifies and streamlines completing my taxes

With the option to download most of my financial information and automatically populate all the relevant forms and fields, it is difficult to imagine how completing my federal taxes could be easier. The prompting for whether to add money to a traditional or Roth IRA and to test different amounts to see how they impacted the amount owed was also very useful. I think TurboTax is well -esigned and it is easy to learn and use.
