Missed opportunities in prior years for IRA

Great as it has been in past years to use. Was not worth the cost for Premier upgrade to find out I did not qualify for IRA contributions. Tax Experts were not available in the past and $35 for the premier upgrade
was cheaper than $60 to get the same answer from an expert. It also was not clear that pushing to the premier version in the past would have provided insight into capability to contribute to IRA with more insight in the past. The question at the end was not clear enough in the past. More questions in main body of turbo tax section for the IRA contributions recommending what could be explored as an option would be enough to upgrade to the version of turbo tax.

Not happy

I can't get one of my tax returns to transmit. When I go to print to mail in it is all jumbled up. I have to download adobe and that is another set of issues. I have used turbo tax for years. I am moving over to another platform. So frustrated.

TurboTax is worth it

I've used TurboTax for many years and have been very satisfied with the ease of use. I always feel confident that I have filed my taxes correctly and without errors.

Wrong info for state with a deceased spouse

I have used Turbo tax for years and generally found it to be a good product. However, my spouse died this year and I wasted many hours doing my state return, because Turbo Tax indicated I needed to file married, separate. After much research and agony, the bottom line is, it should have said change the primary taxpayer to the surviving spouse and make the deceased the spouse. Instead, it recommended mocking up federal returns for each separate and then doing state returns individually from the mock up. Huge oversight!

The only feature that I do not like are the user input boxes that have radial buttons circled in blue. In a list of possible radial button selections only 1 is circled in blue. It gives the impression that the circled button is either the default or applicable to my data thus providing misinformation. If the intent of having it circled is to prompt the user to click on one of the radial buttons then say so.
