Turbo tax is becoming less useful

Data transfers from last year did not include information that was created by the Turbo tax, causing much pain to understand what to include in this year tax return. If Turbo tax is supposed to be for people with little knowledge of tax laws, it is getting harder every year to do it yourself. If I need to get someone to help me with the tax return, then it would be no use for Turbo tax as total cost is becoming close to using a tax return expert.

Est Underpayment Penalty-Poorly Handled by Turbota

I had to futz with Turbotax for over an hour to remove most of the estimated underpayment penalty the program charged us. Should have been NO penalty since difference between our return and what owed was less than $1,000. Even the IRS says wait for them to bill you if there is a penalty! , Managed to get penalty down from $146 to $6, then gave up. Seems like a Turbotax oversight.

Love talking with Support Agents

My experience this year has been very good. The real TurboTax asset is the ability to call and get an agent that is able to interpret the weak of lacking instructions. They have been very good in finding the hidden buttons to push to fix mistakes. Thanks for the great support.

Tubo Tax cannot deal with foreign addresses

In general the product is good. I have one pet peeve. I have an annuity from a foreign country, i.e., Bermuda so I need to complete a substitute 1099-R - Form 4852. Turbo Tax refused to accept a foreign address, insisting on a US State Code and Zip Code, which of course a Bermuda company does not have.
Also, Turbo Tax insists on a TIN even though a foreign company will not have on. In essence Turbo Tax cannot deal with foreign address or foreign entities.
Lastly, this also occurs when I first bring Turbo Tax up and it wants me to register - WILL NOT ACCEPT MY FOREIGN ADDRESS. This is maddening and messes up the ability to e-file.
Please fix this!!!!
