Your Turbo Tax expert was a tremendous help. She was very patient and a great
listener Very friendly and courteous.
For the second year in a row I had trouble with he E filing process. That would be my only complaint about Turbo Tax.. Your expert fixed it thouh.

Average. This year was more challenging than prior years. There are screen changes for data input that I believe are more elaborate and less straightforward. For example, big overlays aren't necessary for 1099 data input. Simply, open a 1099 and input in block by block. End of story.

Turbotax is terrible -- no login no CD

Requiring a login to use the product has lost me as a customer. I have used Turbotax since 1999, and this is my last year of using the product in any way. I used to purchase via a CDROM, and had a license to submit returns for myself and a family member. That option was taken away.
This year I simultaneously used Taxact to fill out my taxes (yes, I paid TWICE to do my taxes because I dislike Intuit Turbotax and what it has become). Next year it will be easy-peasy to run my taxact product. I used to say "do better" but that hasn't worked, so I am moving on to a different provider after 26 years.

Not so awesome.

I thought Turbo Tax was awesome until today. The software would not accept one item in my return. I entered it, checked it, rechecked it for at least 20 minutes. Each time, the software reverted to some other answer that I did not enter. The Review would not finish because of this error. I called the Help line and spent 2 hours and 13 minutes on the phone with an expert. She was very helpful in identifying - after we went through several iterations of my entering all the information AGAIN - that the problem was in the software. She then told me that I should check back in "a week or so" to see if it is fixed. Totally unacceptable to make this MY problem! Especially since I am going out of town next week. Finally, she was able to find out that I could BUY a desktop version! For this, I had to download about 25 minutes worth of updates and software. She did understand my refusal to PAY for this unwanted software and was able to waive the fee. So, 2-1/2 hours after I had planned to submit my taxes, I was finally able to do so.
