Very thorough

We have used TurboTax for over 30 years. Although our taxes were initially simple, as they have increased in complexity, the question/answer format used by TurboTax has guided us through the thicket of changing and detailed Federal and state income tax requirements without a problem--or audit!

AGT error due to turbo tax auto fill.

My files got rejected due to a period after my AGT number. I did not put any periods or commas in the number, turbo tax di that itself. I entered the number and hit continue and then turbotax put a comma and period.

Foreign Tax Paid Credit instructions still s*ck, +

2024 TurboTax Premier SHOULD be able to handle entering the information for Foreign Tax Paid Credits better than it does. Instructions are very bad and the process for entering even worse. No better than 2023 version. One other snag for me this year is that TurboTax somehow imported the WRONG last year tax information. I was about 1 1/2 days into working on taxes when "carry forward" values (Schedule D numbers) seemed off. I checked my 2023 paper copies and sure enough NOT correct import. I could not tell what it imported, but NOT 2023 information. Finally did an import from backup copy of 2023 on a thumb drive. Worked.
