Dreaded Errors

I have been doing Turbo Tax for years and years and I have a love/hate relationship with it. My main issue is the errors that pop up during the review. There is no help in resolving them. I enter the information and TT decides where to put in on the forms. It can be something very simple, yet comes up as an error. Also sometimes TT rounds off the cents and sometimes it doesn't. hence this year my RMD had the .13 and sometimes it didn't show it and sometimes it did.

A couple times on this return, rounding numbers, up or down, to the whole dollar was not correct. Otherwise, I've been using TurboTax for years and the experience has been great.

Colorado forms need work

Issues with the Colorado tax return. Not all info boxes got filled requiring manual correction on individual forms. A form had entries in the wrong place when printed out (0102).
It's also very unclear when filling out for a deceased person that had zero income and no refunds, if it's necessary to file or not - both federal and state. It definitely won't allow you to submit electronically, but still gives you the option of submitting by mail. Do we have to submit by mail or not????

Pretty good but improvements possible

Online information access was exceeding slow. I never was able to get the information I needed. I was supposed to receive a $10 credit with the software I acquired but saw no way to get that when I checked out. I did like a lot of the new graphics.

Beware the School District Tax after Retirement

Would have given a (5) but TurboTax did not "catch" that I needed to file School District tax. This is the first year I'm retired, so it may be because there is not W2's, but I owed tax and if I hadn't researched and completed the SD portion, I'm sure I would have eventually had to pay a penalty.
Pros: My employment status changed this year
