Not simple like it used to be

This program used to be fairly simple and straightforward to follow. Not so anymore. Intentionally confusing and ambiguous to help push the paid online advice. Probably won't choose to use Turbo Tax next year because of this.

The problems with RMD calculations should have been anticipated during development. This error makes me want to consider alternatives to TT.

Beware hidden Processing Fee at the end of filing

I have used Turbo Gas for ten years and have been happy with them in the past.
The only reason I'm giving it a 2 this year is because at the end of my filing there was a hidden $40 processing fee to have Turbo tax send my Federal refund to be direct deposited to my checking account. I could not find an option given to NOT use their 3rd party to do the deposit to my account. I have never been charged this fee in the past. I called Customer service and then the Resolution desk. Neither person could figure out why I was being charged. They said it's what Turbo Tax charges to direct deposit the refund even though their web site says there is no fee for Direct Deposit for Federal Tax refund.

SEVERAL AREAS WHERE YOU CAN'T BACK UP!!!! STUPID. YOU GET LOST IN SPACE TRYING TO NAVIGATE INVESTMENT INPUTS WITH NO LOGICAL WAY OUT. TRAPPED !!!!
VERY CUMBERSOME INPUTS FOR ANNUALIZING INCOME TO REDUCE OR ELIMINATE PENALTIES.
