The good, the bad, the ugly

I gave this a 3 for 2 reasons. The main reason I purchased in Mid December is I wanted to use this program to see how much I could/should transfer from Traditional IRA to Roth Ira only to find out that you couldn't do that until the 15TH of January. The other reason is it should have been more clear that it would cost to file state return. It was free to download but cost to Efile

I prefer to have my own copy of Turbo Tax CD but, I understand your reasoning to protect against abuse. That being said, the benefit of having Turbo Tax files being maintained via internal storage allows me to retrieve my file should my computer become corrupted.

TT is Awesome but no, I don't want to register

Functionally, TurboTax is awesome, and I have used it for many, many years.
My only complaint is when opening my current return, I continue to have to answer the pop-up registration screen that "yes, I want to continue without providing all this information".
I bought your product. Asking me once is OK. Asking me every time I open the file is ridiculous.
Get rid of that foolishness and I'll give you 5 stars

Missing Critical Functionality

Okay, but I had two very frustrating moments in using your revised software. [1] I was unable to directly edit the records sent from Fidelity Investments (an edit button has been available in past versions of your program -- right next to each transferred item) and had to 'override' your step-by-step program and go into the form-level data file to enter prepaid bond interest as an adjustment to reported bond interest income. [2] At the Refund Prompt I was not given the option to refuse a refund and, instead, apply my excess payment to the U.S. Treasury to my estimated tax payments for the next Tax Year. Again, I had to go into the my 1040 form and find a way to override the automatically completed Refund Request; I could do this only after I checked the box to apply the excess paid amount to the current tax year's estimated payments.
