fair - there are glitches in the transfer of downloaded tax info [1099-int. div and capital gains] that have been reported at least 4 weeks ago and still have no solution.
NY return didn't transfer info from last year's filing

I like the ability to import most 1099s for filing. I also like the addition of information on loss carry over.

I like to see highlights of the updates. Now I just check for the updates and the entire software gets downloaded without telling me if the corrected calculation error, typo, forms updates,...

TurboTax is a great help.

This is the first year of using TTax that I had trouble booting it up on the first try.. Often had to try two of three times to be able to continue my return. Once it was up, it was fine.

Suggested rework of 2024 Turbotax

I was saddened with the changes made from TurboTax years 2024. 2 software to follow.023 was a much easier. Importing Financial software was a nightmare making sure that everything was pulled in. Som things I had to discover missed and had to type them in. Change for the sake of change is a waste of time and resources. I also had great difficulty with obtaining my Foreign Tax credits, since i have two brokerage accounts. I am not confident this return is correct and acceptable. Even the individual stock transactions are not logged. I may be looking elsewhere next year. Very disappointed.

This year was easier than previous years. The IRS and Illinois State along with Turbo Tax are helping to make filing easier.
