Still not intuitive as you would hope.

Still not the most streamlined /intuitive experience for those with more than a W2, mortgage and interest payments. With slightly more involved filings, some directions are not clear, and require you to utilize their help community/forums quite a bit which was frustrating. I hate to say it, but they need to integrate A.I. to help answer questions asap. The online version of Turbotax worked linking products like Fundrise, but on the Desktop version, Fundrise was not able to link although available to select. I had to manually input every investment. Although 10,000 transactions were claimed for stock investors/traders, the online version consistently failed to import my 1099-B, but buying the desktop version worked. Then after attempting to File, TT found the error that I have more than 4000 transactions, and couldn't proceed and best to do a "Summary" filing instead. That's why it's been very frustrating. It's the directions and lack of verbiage. The interface is somewhat clunky for those with large entries. I'm willing to test a different online competitor next year just to see what a lesser known brand can do.

Good, but Support could be better.

It is generally pretty user friendly. I recognize that it's dealing with a pretty complex subject. US Tax Code plus the tax codes of 40+ states. What it lacks is a good way of informing TurboTax when a for real system error is discovered. Don't care if that's via chat or what, but it should be there. There's one place in the Ohio return where the error correction routine sends info to wrong line.

TurboTax handles Accrued Market Discount in a convoluted way. The adjustments to Interest Income and Cap Gains should not require separate entries.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The product makes it as easy as possible to navigate this tax quagmire. The only negative I have is importing from Fidelity did not work 2 years in a row. I suspect it is because the product cannot handle ampersands in the "fund names" being imported, i.e., S&P
Pros: I bought or sold investments
