TurboTax Premier is easy to use! I like how it asks you the right questions and cross checks your answers with others you've answered so there is consistency in your return and to eliminate errors in your return. I also like the review it does to catch any errors and give you the opportunity to correct those errors before you file your return. Electronic filing is also a great feature.

TT saves time, but does it save it as expected?

Even though i feel that i correctly did the Child Credit form that showed I was shorted $32, I still respect the product I have been using with TT. I have made mistakes, but plugging in the AGI was just too simple not to wonder why the TT software disagreed with the IRS worksheet.

Hidden fees on electronic filing -- beware

Hidden fees for state tax filing. Premier was not supposed to have a filing fee. Then the additional $40 fee is not disclosed until the very last pages of the software during the filing

Still too many bugs in TurboTax 2024

TurboTax 2024 has bugs carried over from 2023, plus some new ones. Such as:
- It still is only an Intel app! This means it will stop working when Apple ends support for Rosetta, which you know will happen.
- Dialog for saving a tax return has a bug: it doesn't want to show the fields for navigating into a subfolder
- The Federal Taxes > Wages & Income > "Let's finish pulling in your investment income" page sometimes doesn't show the Confirm button. And this dialog is a lot more confusing than previous years, such as that it shows all of the imports, not the form you're trying to work on.
- The pages for reviewing stock pages were bad in 2023. In 2024 they're worse. It is like this section is trying to do a web page in the app. There's so many problems, but the two worst is that a) it doesn't show the Edit button until you scroll right, but since the scroll bar is at the end of the list, once you scroll you can't see the stock name to pick the right lot, and b) when trying to advance to the next set of sales, it kept saying there are none.
- Doesn't let you name a fund "S&P 500".
