Turbo Tax E State

This was good until filing the E state. I was confused on the payment for the E STATE since I had to pay on the Federal , but had a credit on the State. And the last form for using the turbo tax account had no "back" button . Otherwise , the file was exellent.

Will not use turbo tax again

After using turbo tax for 20 years, this will be my last time. I have many active trades to enter and even though I was able to download the information from my broker I was forced to review each one with a step by step walkthrough. This took hours. In the past I had been able to accomplish this in a spreadsheet style review of the forms, this capability was removed this year.

Was better before peddling add-ons

Used to be a 5, since it was 1-stop & easy to use. Now you're trying to get me to buy a bunch of things in addition to the software, and all i want to do is file my taxes. Also, as of a couple years ago the Audit Defense was time-limited, so if my 2023 Audit-defended taxes were audited in 2025, the Audit Defense would not defend the audit. I've never been audited, but my understanding is that most audits occur 1yr+ after the taxes are filed, so the Audit Defense product is fairly useless. So I stopped purchasing it.

Good but one thing to fix

Everything worked pretty much as expected. I have been using this product since the 1990s. My only problem this time is that you changed the 1099-INT and 1099-DIV entry. Last year was superior. This year's entries take up too much screen space, I had to keep scrolling down to get to the bottom. The other problem is that I click on a 1099-INT entry and then it makes me select whether this entry is a -INT, -DIV, B or other 1099. This is redundant since I clicked on a -INT.

You're pushing the tax help too much to the point it's annoying.
I noticed this year that when you complete a section and click continue, you are taken back to the beginning and have to scroll to where you believe you left off.
