Married Filing Separate Guidance is Horrible

Overall helpful... easy to fill out... instructions for married filing separate for state returns were horrible... why not just pre-populate state forms for me and have me go in and make edits... instead of all the mess of figuring out how to develop a mock return for each person?

Better transparency on fees

I have been a TurboTax filer for over 30 years. My 4 star recommend is due to not all filing fees being fully transparent. There is a $40 Federal refund fee which I was dinged for although I had no refund, rather I owed the IRS a modest amount.

I chose to file without using TurboTax assistance. Extremely easy. Only took about 45 minutes from beginning of preparation to e-filing.

turbo tax good and bad

I have been using turbo tax for 20 yrs. or more. It seems to have gotten worse. You should allow the user to go directly to the page he wants rather than having to go through a series of pages/steps. And user shouldn't have to re-enter the data he entered before.
More terms need to be defined.

TurboTax Is Still Good, But It Was Better!

I've used TurboTax for the last twenty years. I preferred the product when it was on a CD as I liked having it for any future reference. This year I found the software to be somewhat cumbersome at the beginning. I still think it's a very good product, just not great like it was.
