TurboTax Works for this Retired Couple

I have been using TurboTax since about 2000-ish. Covers all of the issues I have each year, except the Form 709 which could be a separate program with the full program, even if it has to be submitted separately. Other than that, plus my wife and I are retired, so we are fairly boring and consistent from year to year.

A Robust Tax Return Product

My return went very well -- except for 1099-INT data that was not correctly picked up by TurboTax while reading an investment company's data file. Fortunately I fixed it using the "Forms" (dropdown) data in TurboTax. Using the actual 1099-INT form, I matched the needed data with my investment company's paper copy of the 1099-INT. It worked perfectly.

This is my third time to use TT, and it's getting a little easier each time. Wasn't sure I could do it once we had retirement info to include. My CPA retired, so I gave it a shot and haven't been disappointed. I'm a little slow at it but much faster this year than last. Much easier than writing all out by hand like I did before started using CPA. I'd say, if you are a little nervous about it, go for it. You'll be so glad you did!
