Turbo Tax has always been great, until this yr.

I gave you a 4 instead of a 5 for a couple of reasons. For years you have charged me to submit my State Income Tax forms, even though you advertised one free State Tax submission with the products I have purchased. In addition, last years taxes, 2023, had errors on it that both the State and the Federal corrected and pulled back part of my refund due to that error. I have used Turbo Tax for years and have been very happy with the ease of use and the end product. I DO NOT LIKE THAT TURBOTAX IS NO LONGER SELLING A DISC SET AND IS ONLY 100% ELECTRONIC DOWNLOAD NOW. Typical of big business, prices go up and service goes down. We will see what happens next year.

Frustrations With Amending

I needed to amend my 2024 taxes. It was a major, and long hunt to find the 1099-X in the 2024 Turbo Tax edition - and I had to wait several days for the form to be ready for me to use. After I filled out the amendment, Turbo Tax led me through 3 steps - the second was MY ONLY CHOICE was to mail - NOTHING about e-filing. Then when I got to my state income tax amended form, Turbo Tax had both my federal and state available to e-file. I tried to just e-file my state, but it said I couldn't because I hadn't e-filed my amended federal return! So, I went back and clicked to e-file my federal AND my state. I was able to do both with e-filing. Lots of frustration!
