Turbo tax lost my trust during the 2023 tax season

When I filed my 2023 taxes using Turbotax, you failed to electronically send Form 5121 (City of Detroit) to the State of Michigan. This resulted in me having to do your work and manually send Form 5121. And then it took the State several more weeks to resolve the problem. Shame on you for allowing such a mistake to happen and cause me stress and writing a letter to do your work. Please refund me the electronic filing fee of $25 along with the cost of a postage stamp. Please make sure that this error does not happen again this year.

The program works great, but I have never paid any surcharge or taxes associated with using direct deposit in my over 20 years of using Turbo Tax. This is the first time I e-filed my state instead of mailing, but it seems there is no shortage these days of everyone putting their hands in your pockets. When did companies get so cheap?

Your product is much like last year. It however is a little harder to navigate.
It can be a little more organized. when it comes to entering information,
It should ask yo first if you want to enter your self or import
It should give the advantages of importing
Most of all the system should make a comparison of amount entered to prior year to see if it is in an acceptable range to prevent keying errors. Most important need!!!!

Turbo tax is easy

My return as a retiree is fairly simple. with the auto download features from my banks and brokerages. utilizing the software each year it fills in a lot of the material from the previous year. I like the effeciency provided including the e filing.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is Easy to Use!

Overall TurboTax is a great product and easy to use. The only downside is that sometimes you have to restart your computer every time you download a Federal or state return for it to pick up all the information accurately. It's not bad, just time consuming.

I have a simple return. From 1099-R, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV. Take Standard deduction. Had to get Premier edition to handle retirement income. Ridiculous.
