TurboTax - Simply the Best!

Have been using TurboTax to file my Federal and CA State taxes for 20+ years and love the interface - ease of use and great features. Had to file an amended last year for 2022 tax year and it was so easy to do! Love the ability to file electronically and pay or receive directly to and from my checking account! The program gets better every year.

Worse and worse every year

TurboTax gets worse and worse every year. It still requires Rosetta. It's crazy that in 2025 there's no Apple Silicon version yet. The UI is awful awful awful awful. On the brokerage transactions page, there's a horizontal scroll area in the middle of a huge white space and it doesn't even respond to the trackpad. Every piece of UI feels out of place and like no one at Intuit cares.

i have crypto investments. I think its ridiculous I have to use premier to report cryto. I should be able to use deluxe as after entering everything I still have to take standard deduction. way too expensive just to report crypto.

This year 3 star due to inaccurate download of 1099s leading to erroneous Required Minimum Distribution calculations. I made it right by manually removing the fantom 1099. Community forum was not helpful with resolving.

Turbo tax printing is flawed

Print feature does not work. Had to use File>Save to PDF. Opened PDF with iMAC Preview app, and then printed.

Over 20 years of experience using TurboTax

We've used TurboTax for over 20 years and have never had any issues with the IRS. Every year TurboTax improves the quality of its product, and we have a very high confidence level in the product. We saved hundreds of dollars by doing our tax return using TurboTax as opposed to an accountant. It is super easy to use, VERY user friendly and very thorough. Thank you, Turbo Tax!
