The way TT guides you through the tax forms is simple and straightforward. The inline help / tooltips is also very useful. Keep it as simple as you can.

More difficult to use than previous years.

This year's TurboTax was noticeably harder to use than in previous years. I didn't like having to download the product rather than getting a physical CD. Also, the format for 1099 forms (1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-B) was confusing and much more difficult than in past years.

While Schedule K-1's to report capital gains on the sale of inherited properly do show up under income, as they should, you have them under a business income section. Can't you have a separate "Inheritance" section under "Income" and a Schedule K-1 or Capital Gains subsection under that? It wouldn't be as confusing and hard to find. Thanks.

Very good except for import duplicate entry

Very good especially transferring info from last year. A negative is that one must carefully review manually for any duplicates after importing. I imported a Computershare dividend file and had manually put it in before that (name was transferred over from last year's tax return) so one was in CAPS and the other was not. Luckily, I caught the duplicates on the dividend page or else I would have paid double tax. TurboTax should have a simple check to say hey I see you have a duplicate amount, is this really two different things?

Customer service is pretty good. Our return (both state and federal) was rejected because of a typo, wrong birth year. Why didn't Turbo Tax catch that from the last year return?
