More Confusing This Year!

I have been using TurboTax since the early 90's and have never needed help. This year, however, in spite of my finances being simpler, the program was more complicated! Questions were worded oddly-- especially for the AZ state return... so confusing! I did not allow me to e-file my state return, but routed me to an AZ.gov website. It was hard to navigate back to a previous point without starting over in the State section. This was the first year I have ever asked for help ($60!) and although the agent was friendly, he didn't seem to know any more than I did. At least I got peace of mind after speaking with him.

TurboTax is so easy to use. I chatted once with a tax expert because I couldn't locate specific form. He assisted me and I had the form within a minute.

Takes the pain out of doing your own taxes!

User friendly, even for a non-numbers person! Walks thru everything in a simple, understandable manner. Has good side help/explanation windows when needed. I had always avoided doing my taxes, now I almost look forward to doing them!

Easy to use - good customer service

Prior to downloading Turbo Tax this year, we realized we had not received the CD. So we went online and requested help in downloading. The Turbo Tax employee who helped us was great and walked us through installation. We [actually my wife] have used Turbo Tax for several years - never had a problem - and never heard from the fed or state tax authority. so this is good news!

Be careful if you have RMDs

February 22: there was a problem transferring information from the input screens to the tax forms with respect to actual retirement plan distributions in the case of required RMD. This error caused Turbotax to calculate underpayment penalties even when all requirements had been met and no penalties were due. I’ve been using Turbotax for years—this is the first time I’ve run into an error like this one.

2024 tax filing

overall great.. Did not really like the Capital Gains section where you had to click tiles to complete each entry... A different view would be better
