Technical Problem with the Arizona Tax Return

When completing the Arizona, Step-by-Step program, I was not given the option to claim my carryover credit Form 348 from 2023. I had to load the form from the program manually by entering the carryover information manually. Had I not been paying attention; I would have lost a $1,200 tax credit.

I was surprised that even though it was advertised as Free E-File for the Federal Return, there is a $40 charge that is not mentioned until the very end, just before filing.

Turbotax is a necessary chore

I've used Turbotax for nearly 40 years. Bluntly stated, in my opinion, you have not improved the interface very much. This year was a definite step backwards in ease of entering information.

The Turbo Tax program has become better every year. When I first started using MacInTax in 1998 I had to be very careful not to make any errors inputting my data because making corrections was painful. It was very difficult. Today, we can even use a "what if" strategy to help make decisions before December 31 and it's easy to do. There are also checks and balances to help reduce errors which is helpful. Love it!

A great product, Mac needs Improvement

First the Mac version does not seem as user friendly. I spent 30 minutes trying to enter my Property Taxes in the Federal section. Gave up and later found the file in the State section, A note in the Federal section indicating its possible location in the State section would have been a major help. Seems like in the past, I could go to the forms section and complete filling in missed entries as the editable boxes were highlighted. I might have been dreaming. Burt would be a nice feature.
