Unable to Transfer Prior Year Desktop to Online

Attempted to transition from Desktop to Online version of Turbotax. Unable to transfer prior year Desktop Turbotax to current year Online Turbotax. Tried many different ways, even free version of Online provided by my financial institution, but each time Online version required me to start from scratch. I gave up and purchased new Desktop version... very frustrating!

Very user friendly, easy to follow. I was able to go back into program and enter some different numbers to check some scenarios as to how it would change the final outcome.

Problems with need to re-activate the program

The software worked well. I have had problems with having to continually re-activate the TurboTax Premier - Desktop program following each software update. The recommended solution was to delete my anti-virus software. This was totally unacceptable for me. So I rushed to complete my return before running out of the 5 available activations.

Great experience as the program is very user friendly and walks you through the various sections of the tax return process. I have been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years, and I really love this product. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to file their own tax returns.

Turbo Tax may be falling behind?

I've been using Turbo Tax forever. It's getting more difficult to use, and they made me upgrade this year to do something that I've been doing for years. I also had to buy a new computer because they wouldn't allow me to install on my existing computer.

Pitiful Filing Fee Payment process

When it came time to file taxes, I was unable to do so because all of my credit cards had an expiration month after August. The user interface would not allow me to enter any month beyond 8. I used help and followed the recommendation, but they did not solve the problem. I find it unacceptable that a product has such a blatant bug that will not allow certain credit cards. I ended up using a reserve card that had an earlier expiration month. This was not my desired choice.

had difficulty importing forms from Merrill. THen had difficulty calculating the Foreign Tax Credits on my dividends
