Turbo Tax Failed on VA Form 760C had to fix manual

VA State return never asked me to indicate when income was earned, since I am retired and my only income is Social Security (not taxable in VA) and IRA withdrawal/rollover to Roth, all my income was in December. As I had a late payment for September, Form 760C was filled out all wrong. I had to find the form and correct it to show taxable income was al earned in December.

WOW the number of built in ads for additional services is getting out of hand. I don't need or want that. This is really a big turn off to me as a long time turbotax user. It started when I installed and was getting pushed into the online service. IF I WANTED THAT THEN WHY BUY THE DESKTOP???? I don't want that. These upsells are getting bad. do what you will with this feedback, but I might switch to FreeTax USA and save some money. They push the upsells even less.

This year's release went much more gooey in entering some of the data. It doesn't include a cross-check to the forms we have, which are pretty prescript in the fields (1099 forms in particular). The gooey interface questions are way too subjective.

Way too many ads asking user to buy more unneeded overpriced services from INTUIT.
Many times it is impossible to determine where the software gets its information. For instance it insisted on claiming that I received a $14,000 state income tax refund which is not true. The software continued to ask what my farm income was even though I have never owned or operated a farm.
