Not my best experience with TurboTax

TurboTax was a bit quirky this year. My first transfer of 2024 data into TurboTax was incomplete and inaccurate, so as I entered tax information as it arrived, the output was not complete and when I looked at the 2024 tax history, it was completely void.... when I called for technical support, there was no means to recover the failed data transfer, so I needed to start from the beginning. Quite frustrating and annoying.

I spoke with Jessica and Samatha for over an hour each with an issue I had importing. They were very knowledgeable and we tried numerous solutions over 2 days to finally figure out my issue.

No Explanation in Indiana Return Error Checking

When filing an Indiana return, there were no explanations in the program when it was error checking the forms and found missing information that needed to be added. I eventually figured out that the requested info was for county addresses for filer and spouse by asking ChatGPT to explain what TurboTax was asking since Turbotax was asking for info using the database type codes for that field in the form.

Great experience

First time using turbo tax. Retirement, investments and the changes to the Tax code made getting help a necessity.
I'd like to see a clearer way to indicate military retirement. There was a separate selection for Government Civilian retirement pay, please add one for military retirement so the "is this the the way to report?" questions are eliminated.

Generally a good program!

Generally a good program. Problems encountered - not able to handle both ABP and accrued interest on bonds. Also not able to handle multiple IRA accounts with US interest for Oregon, but I was able to enter my own total.

TurboTax went cheap

Features, compatibility and interface failed me:
November 2025 Tax advantage program failed to download in January 2026 when I needed it! Had to call and get and new link.
Second: download for stock and investment cap gains, int, and dividends failed. You took my data to the intuit site and than redirected me to go fetch it from there; except it wasn't there and I could not find it where you said it was supposed to be.
I had to manually input the data by going back to each investment house and printing the documents. Not cool!
finally, the donation calculator was missing without notice and that was disappointing. that took a long time to gather the information and complete that itemized deduction part. Not Cool again!
