Long-term user "TurboTax no longer easy to use!"

I have used Turbo Tax for years and have recommended to others. However, it has gone down hill the last 2 years. It is not as easy to use. The import function never worked correctly this year. Also the help they used to give for donations is not available as of mid-Feb ... supposedly it is coming. I will no longer recommend TurboTax to others. I haven't decided what I am going to do next year. So sad that their "improvements" have made the product worse in my opinion.

Great product, here are some areas for thought

I have been a customer for years. Getting along in age, I am now at the point where I sell some of my investments. The 1099-B has everything on it, but I found that entering normal, long-term, and short-term gains was tedious because I had to enter the same information three times, instead of one page to cover all inputs for one sale. Also, the RMD data might better be served by starting with the RMD and then asking for the withdrawal information. When drawing from more than one account, I got a little confused and entered the total RMD amount twice. Not a good surprise.

Stupid Turbo Tax error.

Turbo tTx would not e-file my return claiming that my state withholding ($1,375.00) on a 1099-R is higher than the gross amount of $31,500.00. However, the gross amount is higher than the state withholding. I spent hours finding a work-around. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!

Glitch in latest TT 2025 update

Program did not load after the latest TurboTax 2025 update. Shut down PC and restart only partially solved the problem. A repeat click on TT icon in Windows eventually were needed after the shut down and restart.

Need It's Deductible to return to TurboTax

I was very disappointed to find that the It's Deductible module has been deleted from Turbo Tax. I found that module super easy to use. Manually entering non cash donations was very tedious

Bad Error in Form 8949. I REMOVED THE ENTRY INDICATING 8949 DATA would JUST BE SUMMARIZED. Unfortunately, the system put it back in, thereby doubling the CAPITAL GAINS from Fidelity.
