Premier is a waste

Premier was a disappointment as even though my Schwab account auto download provided all tax-free bond information, I still had to manually enter all of my bond amounts separately and bond states separately by hand (I have many). Also, the software asked me nothing about my futures and options transactions. I then had to manually go in and find the forms and enter there. It then had an error in the interest I earned on my bonds with OID and I had to enter those separately by hand. My Schwab forms were all correct by the way, it's in your software.

Great Product

I have used Turbotax for many years and found it to be an excellent product. The software has been enhanced many times since I started using it, keeping it up to date with comprehensive features and simplifying the overall process of filing a return.

Good, but not perfect

TurboTax failed to suggest proper standard vs itemized deduction method when filing Idaho state return. It was better for me to use standard deduction for state due to size of health insurance deduction. Turbotax missed this. Also, failed to provide place to reduce dividend income on State tax return by amount of income from US gov't securities (greater than 50%) classified as dividends rather than "interest."

Disappointed

I have used TurboTax for over 15 years. This is the first year that I've found the directions to be overly wordy and complicated. I think that in trying to simplify, you just made things more complicated and unintelligible.

TurboTax little change over the years

I've used TurboTax for at least 30 years. It has changed very litte. It's still ponderously slow, cumbersome to use. The interface is little changed from five years ago. Only the barest changes to the interface seem to be made, nothing to improve the performance or user experience. Installation is incredibly slow.
