Two Major Problems

Two problems! One, when importing vestment documents, you do not recognize duplicates.
Two, same problem as last year; I can not get to credit card payment screen for state e-file. If there is a continue button, it does not appear on screen and no scroll bar to get to the bottom of the page. Forces me to print and manually file.

turbo tax software garbage. keep giving error messages fail to validate due to software updates for the state of california. I would give a 1 star but I give 3 just incase if they delete negative comments.

Good as always

As usual it was easy and reasonably quick. Seems to have successfully covered all of my transactions.
I did call with one question. A field that I had properly entered as part of my 1099-R was left blank on the 1040 SR. It had no effect on the calculations. However, I was concerned that a blank field could cause my return to be rejected. Your telephone assistance, which was excellent, courteous and pleasant assured me it was not a problem.
However, I am disappointed that you advertise my state return to be electronically transmitted for $20.00 and then charged me &25.00. Why?

More support from financial institutions this year

Importing from financial institutions is much better this year and manual input was much less than last year. There were still some schedules the software asked extra information to fill in that it should have automatically collected and captured from the main software. Overall, it went very smoothly.

Easier than manual tax forms

The 1040-SR included an estimated tax penalty on line 38, but no supporting documents like form 2210 to show how it was determined.
It has some confusing questions to complete the RMD for traditional IRAs, whether the requested amount was for this IRA account or for all of the IRA accounts. It required multiple attempts to get the correct total amount of RMD dollars for all of my IRAs.
