support says you could efile after 10/15 and until 10/30 but that was not accurate. it was impossible to fix more complicated tasks like ftc

DC state software error

I have not been able to print my DC nonresident tax return request for refund in Turbotax. All it will print is erroneous filing instructions. I paid $45 for the DC software and I am going to have to do it by hand.

Noone could complete a return without it

I have no idea how anyone, a tax professional or an ordinary taxpayer, could complete a 1040 return. TurboTax makes it seamless.
I received an IRS letter yesterday, and I'm sure my audit defence $40 was well invested.

Buggy TurboTax Is Garbage

Massive number of significant issues without resolution. First issue was a required update (not option to not update) wiped out all my data. This is a known issue without resolution. Next issue is a state tax loop where the state cannot be downloaded to file state taxes. It just keeps looping to download state. This is a known issue where there is a separate executable to remove states that does not work. The next step is an uninstall/reinstall that does not work. State taxes will need to be prepared offline. Terrible product with too many bugs and they are known without adequate fixes. Extreme amount of wasted time trying to fix and make something work that is broken. Support knows this and can do nothing.

TurboTax is a piece of junk - Useless!

It would not e-file my returns, saying I had the wrong AGI. I had the correct AGI as indicated on the IRS transcript. It charged me $40 + $25 for e-filing a state tax return that was never filed. Now it will not print my return so that I can send it in by mail. I have tried saving it as a PDF to print; printing for my records; printing to file and every fix suggested online. This 2024 TurboTax is a piece of junk. I will never use TurboTax again.

1031 is a Challenge

For simple returns, Sched C, Sched E - TT is great. Doing a 1031 Like-Kind Exchange was very difficult & confusing; so we had to use a Tax Live Adviser who was great. I wish executing the 1031 Forms were more seamless and straighforward
